Introduction

Prairie View, as the name implies, offers welcoming country views. This rural home is conveniently located in central Iowa just 2 miles west of Panora. Your hosts are science teachers with ecotourism in mind; therefore, walking trails provide a unique experience with 15 acres of prairie. Only minutes from Lake Panorama, be their guests to boat or fish. If bicycling is your interest, enjoy traveling the Raccoon River Bike Trail. Wide-open skies provide a perfect setting for evening star gazing and campfires.

The Kan and Li Suite

Relax on the deck, play a round of golf at the Lake Panorama National Golf Course or just enjoy leisure time on the yard swing. In colder months, enjoy hot cider around the fireplace and cross country skiing for the more adventurous. Guthrie County Regional Airport is only one mile away and welcomes private planes. A full breakfast compliments this country retreat with a choice of formal or casual dining.

The Coneflower 1900's Room

Oak furnishings from the early 1900's include a queen size bed. Private adjoining bath with shower and tub, remote control TV/DVD player. $75

The Kan and Li Suite

This room is perfect for honeymooners or special occasions. Olympic queen platform bed and extra futon provide additional space for visitors traveling with children. Large bathroom features bathtub for two, separate shower and double sinks; remote control TV/DVD player. $125

The Sunflower Suite

Separate sleeping area features antique walnut furniture with a queen size bed. Private adjoining bath with shower, remote control TV/DVD player. $90

  • Room rates include a full breakfast, but do not include state tax.
  • Check in time is 4 - 6 PM unless an alternate time is requested.
  • Check out time is 11 AM.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside the home.
  • No pets.
  • Well-behaved children are welcome.
  • $10 charge for children, 12 years and younger, sharing room.
  • Ask about rates for reserving the entire facility for reunions.
  • Business rates available upon request.
  • Government rates accepted.
  • 50% cash/check or credit card number for reservation confirmation.
  • Refunds made if notice received seven days prior to reservation.
  • Full refund will be granted if room is re-rented with shorter notice.
