Planning a trip on I-95? Abingdon Manor is a surprising alternative to interstate motels. Located just 5 miles east of exit 181 it is not your typical B&B. In fact in 2001 AAA changed our designation from a B&B to a Country Inn. In addition, it is the only AAA 4 diamond property with such close proximity to I-95 in the Carolinas, or Georgia. If you have shied away from B&Bs because of perceptions such as: (1) not enough privacy; (2) outdated facilities; (3) being forced to interact with other guests at meals; (4) you will have to share a bathroom, etc. you’ll find that things are a lot different at Abingdon Manor. For those experienced in B&B stays you will find a great travel value.

What we offer the weary traveler:

A convenient stopping point on this major north/south corridor between Florence and Lumberton with the only luxury accommodations in the region. Easy to find. In a small village on a direct route off the interstate there’s not much chance of getting lost. If you should, any of the friendly locals can provide directions. Plus we send a detailed map with each confirmation. Security. Situated on three acres in a residential neighborhood of a small town, your possessions and personal safety are not an issue unlike many roadside motels. With resident owners living on the property your added safety and comfort are guaranteed. All guest rooms are equipped with deadbolts and security locks. Diner service. You won’t need to get in the car again once you’ve checked in. Full liquor and wine service and fine dining are available nightly. Well lighted private bathrooms with many amenities including emergency toiletries. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board are provided in each room. Television with expanded cable and remote control in all rooms. A full breakfast is available as early as 7:45 a.m. at individual tables with provision for a "breakfast to go" for earlier departures. Early morning coffee and tea service on the guest level prior to breakfast. All major credit cards accepted. Lots of space. The Inn has 8,500 square feet of interior space with oversized guest rooms and common areas - you won’t be on top of other guests. You’re not just a head on a bed to us. You can have as much privacy and solitude as needed, but with the comfort of knowing that personal attention and interaction is available in a non-threatening environment. A great travel value.
