...when the grounds were purchased through a Revolutionary War Grant.

The gracious two story home began construction in 1832 and was not completed until 1865. The house was used as a convalescent home for post war veterans. Today, the 172 year old Manor is a beautifully restored antebellum mansion. Attention to detail is evident everywhere, from the hand-stenciled hardwood floors to the personalized service provided each guest at Cedarvine Manor. Its eight guestrooms are decorated in period style with beautiful antiques and collectibles. Behind the Manor is a serene courtyard, perfect for outdoor events, especially weddings.

Cedarvine Manor sits on approximately nineteen acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. The courtyard features a reconstructed 1832 log cabin, which has been converted into a private suite. A gazebo type covered bridge trailing off into small pond is the perfect setting for wedding ceremony, evening stroll, or romantic dinners. Hookups for RVs, horse trailers and buses are available. There is ample parking available on grounds.

Upon entering this gracious manor, the feeling of an old southern estate will be apparent by our hand painted mural on the wall going up the original black walnut staircase. At the top of the stairs is our guest reading and game area. Each room is handicapped accessible with an electric chair lift to the upstairs quarters, and ramps at outside doorways. The house is smoke free with designated smoking areas on balconies, verandas, and conference room.

Enjoy watching horses graze, deer and wild turkey in the pasture while rocking on our veranda and balconies. Walk through nature on our twelve acres with a pond and covered bridge, or sit on the front porch of our log cabin in the courtyard.
