This is the home where the first sour-dough bread was made for Crackerbarrel! Upon your arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by the Proprietess, Paulette Pettingell. If you wish to have dinner, it will be prepared by a certified chef, Paulette's son Rick. Enjoy a large inground pool for lounging and sunbathing. Take a leisurely walk on a quiet country lane. Simply relax in front of the warm, crackling fire with your favorite reading material. If you must, you can bring a movie to play on the Inn's VCR. It is the only hint of technology that could possibly cause you stress. Guest quarters have no FAX or computers. Cable TV and phones are in each suite. At bedtime, you will be pleased to find your bed turned down. As your restful night gives way to morning, Rick and Paulette will serve you breakfast. She can delay it if you like, allowing you to linger longer. If you must depart early, she will accommodate that, as well. Sample breakfast menu: fruit in season; western omelete; potato cheese casserole; ham, sausage or bacon; toasted bread; jellies, juice, coffee or tea. Sterling placesettings and antiques are extensively used in serving meals. Natureview Inn features two large guest suites. Rates range from $75 to $125 depending on the number of people in your party and the accommodations. Senior discounts are given. Natureview Inn is tastefully furnished with antiques, art and artifacts, including a 1950's-1960's record collection and a library for browsing. The home has a touch of Southwest influence since Paulette lived in that area for two decades. There is also a museum collection of old glass. Her husband was a War II pilot, flew with the "Flying Tigers" and was a graduate of Pratt Art Institute in New York City. Paulette has a background of teaching at the University level with degrees in Biology and Botany (M.S.). Her hobby has always been entertaining and cooking. One thing, for sure, upon your departure back to the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you will feel enriched and refreshed. "Mi Casa es Su Casa!"
