Meet the Innkeepers
Over the years, Jim and Sandra have built a wonderful life together, and shared a variety of interests, including a love of all nature, their large family and many friends, as well as their church. Born and bred Southerners, their passions are fishing, camping, gardening, family and nature. Jim is a registered professional environmentalist and retired contractor, who now enjoys building most anything and also making special fishing lures and even more, using those lures to haul in some good fish! Jim is an avid iron pot cooker and would like to meet others with the same interest. Sandra recently retired after 40 years as an agent/broker for a Nationwide Insurance agency started by her mother, who lives part-time with Jim and Sandra now.
Jim and Sandra stay busy with their four grown children, 7 grandchildren, and several very friendly pets. They are also very active in their church as well as community activities such as the Relay for Life Cancer drive, which is a favorite of Sandra's. After finding this bit of land, which is truly a wonderful spot to "Rest A Spell," so secluded and peaceful, Jim and Sandra cleared the land themselves, and built their home, as well as the guest cottage, with the care and devotion they show in all their endeavors. You can just feel their sense of beauty and love of all God's creatures in everything you see and experience when you come Rest A Spell.
