Introduction
This bed and breakfast, conveniently located near downtown Nashville, is just walking distance away from the
Nashville Convention Center
Adelphia football Coliseum
Gaylord Entertainment Center
With an easy access to the interstate, Opryland and Vanderbilt University are about a 15 minute drive away.
The cottage is a pristine 1902 Victorian home in the Historic
Edgefield neighborhood. It stands amidst various stately remnants of nineteenth century architecture, some beautifully restored and in mint condition, others still inviting renovation.
Neoclassical in style, the Bed and Breakfast features
specialty millwork in a sunburst design over the front porch entrance,
which later is echoed in the central hall. It is accented by a
lavender front door, similar in hue to the luxuriant mid summer
blossoms of a near-by crepe myrtle.
The spacious structure has twelve foot ceilings, bedrooms with ceiling fans, and original heart of pine floors. It has been renovated with
central heat and air. Guest accommodations include two sleeping rooms each with a private bath and furnished with antiques; a sitting room with TV/VCR and library. Historic maps, original paintings and other art work dress the walls. A full breakfast - mostly organic - is served.
There is ample space for parking on the street or in a private parking area to the rear of the cottage.
