Hambrick Chapel (c. 1857)
Experience the simple beauty of the historic Hambrick Chapel. Original to the plantation, this simple, yet elegant chapel with its stately steeple takes your breath away when you walk inside to see the lovely stained glass window of Jesus tenderly holding a little lamb. The chapel is approximately 1,020 square feet and seats 100 attendees with room for 20 additional in the entry foyer. Central heat and air will keep guests comfortable, the bride from fainting, and the groom from melting in his tuxedo.

Ballroom/Reception/Meeting Hall (c. 1850)
A short brick pathway, one of several on the property, carries the chapel guest to the reception hall. The building with its pine and parquet wood floors and full columned front porch mirror the architecture of the Windsor House. The exquisite architectural details of the interior include scalloped crown molding, leaded glass windows, and an awesome columned fireplace. It served as a ballroom for another large plantation in Texas in bygone days and it was moved by Mrs. Windsor to its current location next to the swimming pool to serve as a pool house for the pleasure of her guests. The ballroom can serve 60 people in a sit-down dining environment and up to 120 people in a buffet or hors d’ouvre reception. The extra large covered front porch also adds to the seating potential. Characteristic of the hall is a large wood burning fireplace, a restroom, full kitchen with private caterer’s entrance and an enclosed sun porch. When the wedding party is too populated for the reception hall, the overflow is often accommodated in tents that can handle 300 to 400 guests.

The Grand Entrance

Grounds
It is not uncommon for a bride to choose an outdoor wedding at the steps of the chapel next to the wood, or under a tent on the spacious, meticulously maintained grounds. The 10 acre pasture is dotted with crape myrtles, magnolias, Bradford pears, oaks, American Holly, Mimosa, numerous pecan and dogwood trees to give it a park-like setting.

The extensive grounds offer plenty of parking for all guests, as well as an opportunity to pass the time before the wedding in the shade of our natural woods. Please visit our website for to see our Wedding Packages and Much More!
