| Murder Mystery Weekend Plan your company party, family reunion, or invite a group of friends to a Murder Mystery Weekend! Bring your sense of humor and a lighthearted attitude about deception, blackmail, larceny, folks of "ill-repute" and murder. Prior to your scheduled weekend, everyone is sent a packet with their character sketch, some costume suggestions and a guide for the evening. Everyone arrives on Friday night, gets checked into their rooms and attends a reception with refreshments, where we lay out the plan for Saturday. We like to scatter clues about town, and suggest where you might look: an antique store, one of the museums, the 50s deli, or a store in the outlet mall. In reality, it's an opportunity to show you the highlights of the Hillsboro area in the guise of "clue collection." On Saturday night, as everyone comes downstairs for an exquisite buffet dinner, each one assumes their character roles. There is deception and intrigue in the air. There is a plot, but no script or lines to memorize. Someone is found "dead" sometime after dinner, from a variety of methods, and the mystery must be solved. A detective emerges from your group and begins questioning everyone. Such lies! Who are all these conniving people? Once this investigation is completed, cards are distributed to each cast member and they vote for the one they believe committed the murder. The envelope is unsealed, and the murderer revealed. Case solved! A prize goes to the character, who is not the murderer, but garners the most votes cast for being the murderer. The price for Mystery Weekends is $40 per person, plus the price of your room choice for Friday & Saturday nights. The "extras" included for the $40 are the Friday evening reception, Saturday evening dinner, and your Character Kit for the Murder Mystery. Minimum of 5 rooms reserved.
